Welcome New Associate Editor, Prof. Tien-Fu Lu!

The International Journal of Automation and Smart Technology (AUSMT) is delighted to announce that Prof. Tien-Fu Lu has joined our Editorial Board as the newest Associate Area Editor.

Prof. Lu is currently an Associate Professor in the School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering at The University of Adelaide, Australia. He earned his Ph.D. from the Department of Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering at the University of South Australia in 1997. His research interests focus on intelligent mechatronic and robotic systems, fostering the use of smart materials for sensing and actuation, trajectory planning, motion control, machine vision, and artificial intelligence.

Throughout his career, Dr. Lu has served in prominent editorial and professional roles for several high-quality journals and organizations. These include the Australian Journal of Mechanical Engineering (AJME), the International Journal of Intelligent Mechatronics and Robotics (IJIMR), the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (RAS), the IEEE International Conference on Mechatronics and Automation (ICMA), the IEEE International Conference on Information and Automation (ICIA), and the Australian Robotics and Automation Association.

Based on his academic excellence and comprehensive experience as a reviewer and editor, AUSMT believes that Prof. Lu's appointment marks a significant milestone in our commitment to maintaining the highest standards for our journal. His addition to the board will greatly support our efforts to broaden the journal's international reach, strengthen its global academic impact, and ensure AUSMT remains a trusted, reliable venue for the creative and innovative work of researchers worldwide.
